THREE MINUTE READ

Looking up and down the fresh juice aisle of any natural and organic grocery store (Sprouts is my Go-To) is one of my favorite things to do. The array of freshly pressed and vibrantly green juices filling the varieties of trendy bottles covered in eye-catching lengthy lists detailing each freshly picked and freshly chilled super nutrient packed inside, is like gazing upon Sephora's wall of newly released anti-aging creams, serums and face masks.
Although green juices and smoothies can and should be tailored to your specific tastes and diet, this post will cover my favorite store bought green juices and their typical ingredients. These juices can be found in most grocery stores, targets, and even Starbucks!

Common Green Juice Ingredients
Although not all juices are created equally and you should absolutely be mindful of the sugar content, any skin benefiting juice will be packed with a variety of greens such as:
Celery
Cucumber
Spinach
Romaine Lettuce
Kale
Parsley
Collard Greens

THE BEAUTY BENEFITS
Although there is little scientific evidence supporting the common belief that juicing allows the body to absorb nutrients easier, juicing can be an easy step in the right direction for introducing these nutrient rich vegetables into your standard daily diet.
Celery
95% Water and packed with Vitamin A
Vitamin A can help defend against sun damage and cancer due to its high levels of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It can also help to treat & prevent acne. Although its not entirely known yet what the exact impact vitamin A has on acne, studies have shown that an increase in vitamin A in your diet can be used as an acne treatment. Research suggests that a diet lacking in vitamin A can lead to the over production of keratin protein in the hair follicle causing clogged pores.
Cucumber
98% Water and packed with Vitamin C
Vitamin C is packed with antioxidants and helps regulate collagen production. Because vitamin C plays an important role in collagen synthesis, diets lacking in vitamin C can lead to slower wound healing.
Spinach
It’s full of Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Potassium, and Folate which are all massive contributors to anti aging and skin health.
Romaine Lettuce
Packed with Vitamin A and C
Kale
High in Vitamin E and A
Vitamin E helps your immune system, cell function & skin health. Vitamin E is an essential nutrient that helps fight off free radicals and is used to fight dry skin.
Parsley
Filled with anti-oxidants Vitamin C, A, and E and reduces inflammation.
Collard Greens
Rich in antioxidants, Collard Greens fight free radicals while also maintaining healthy skin and hair with Vitamin E, Iron, and Protein.
&
Lemon
Added for flavor and a Vitamin C boost
